The Foundation will provide an interviewing skills workshop for graduating seniors utilizing graduates of Cass Tech and other non-graduates to conduct a seminar and mock interviews with graduating seniors.
First, the students will be required to attend a 90 minute to 2 hour presentation on “Interview Preparation and Etiquette”.
Next, each student will be asked to prepare for and participate in a job interview with a hypothetical company or university. Depending on the number of volunteers, the Foundation intends to conduct single person and multiple person panel interviews.
In addition, depending on funding, the Foundation intends to videotape the interviews so the students can see how they handled themselves and the impact of body language in the interview process.
Finally, after the mock interview, the Workshop facilitator(s) will sit down with student and go over the results and provide helpful pointers.
